My Rock

These verses have kept me emotionally sane for the past several days. If you are struggling, or feel helpless or hopeless, and you need a little encouragement, take a gander:

Isaiah 26:4
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock Eternal

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart...

If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
"

Grace and peace.

Here are some others for encouragement (in no particular order):

Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever"--I pray that God would be the strength of your heart even when you feel like you don't have any strength left and your heart is weak

Deuteronomy 33:12 "Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders"--I pray that you would be able to rest in the Lord and lay your head on His chest during this difficult time

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"--I pray that you would be able to bring all your cares to the Lord, and I pray that His perfect peace would surround you during this time and allow you to focus only on Him

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight"--I pray that you would be able to trust completely in the Lord and His perfect plan for you without trying to necessarily understand the situation yourself…because His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9)

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 "our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal"--I didn't include this verse to try to say that this situation is light and momentary because I know that it is heavy and difficult and painful. I just think that the glory of God is so much bigger and if you can focus on that, it will make the situation more bearable. This verse reminds me of a line from the song "He Loves Us" that says "all of a sudden I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory". God is so big that he can come between us and our problems and eclipse them so that all we can see is Him

Psalm 143:8 "Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul"--I pray that God will honor your surrender of this situation and of your soul to Him and that He will show you the next step.

...just a few scriptures and prayers that I thought might help...
